Little Known Heroes

Last but definitely not the least, one of my favorite projects that is underway right now in Delhi. Manjari Sheel, one of the designers working on this project, wrote to me and shared the fascinating story of how an international team designers is working together to combine the western aesthetic of designer toys with the traditional craft skills of India to come up with a line of toys that is completely new. The result is a range of adorably lethal half-animal warriors from Indian mythology which are little known and in danger of being forgotten, taking the best from intricately detailed Indian patterns and the exaggerated Western character illustration style that gives the warriors a strong emotional connect.

You can read more about the project, the people, characters, successes and failures that the team have experienced along the way on their blog. Want one for yourself? Go get them here!
