My favorite discovery in NYC this holiday was Eataly - the high-end Italian food market in the Flatiron District. Have you visited Eataly? If you have you will likely agree that it is quite the experience. The concept is a one-stop shop: a massive 50,000 square food grocery marketplace with themed tasting rooms {restaurants} throughout. All I can say is FOOD HEAVEN.
Gah! How do you choose only one meal when surrounded by all of this goodness? We ended up sharing the Capricciosa pizza and potato gnocchi with lamb shank, and we were completely delighted with both choices. I can't wait to head back and try more ...
Next time your in New York, do me a favor and grab lunch at Eataly, take some Italian gelato to go and spend the afternoon in Madison Square park admiring the Flatiron and all the Manhattan passers-by!
