so many little stitches

i've been making the (twin sized) quilt for adelaide's first bed since about the time she was born. It's been slow going, but I've got it all pieced together and now i am just doing all of the quilting by hand. The squares are 2 1/4 inches in size and the fabrics are different patterns and solid cottons in sky blue and tomato red, most of which I collected while I was pregnant. Addie already really seems to like it as when i hold it up to show her, her eyes get all wide and bright and her mouth pops open! I can't wait to ask her what her favourite square is one day...
